Make a festive date for Wokingham foodbank

WOKINGHAM’S foodbank is collecting Advent Calendars to give away to children of its clients.

The Broad Street based charity hands out emergency food parcels containing three days’ worth of rations to people referred to it.

It is now seeking festive-themed donations – which must be in date and handed in by the last Sunday in November. Donations can be left in churches in the town centre, at collection points in some supermarkets including Waitrose or at the foodbank.

The Woodley food bank, based out of Woodley Baptist Church in Hurricane Way, will also welcome festive treats. Items can be left with the church or to collection points in Woodley library and the Oakwood Centre.
